So I didn’t do the workout last night. I had the time but was too tired from waking up early that day. Lesson learned – I should have fit it in at lunch. Or I need a new mindset when it comes to working out in the evening – the just get it done even if it is a minimum viable product of half the planned workout. Next time I need to identify the minimum amount I am willing to give – 10 mins? – and hope that either momentum takes me from there or I stop having at least met a minimum goal.
I did however stick to my eating plan – so much easier when I make food on Sunday to stick to what is in the fridge. I have been trying new recipes and this quinoa veggie ‘fried rice’ is a keeper. I have a new recipe book dedicated solely to the clean food I like along the way to keep at it on a regular basis as these recipes are not necessarily in my repertoire of recipes I have learned that when cooked with flavour, I can like tofu. I think that is a good one to like if I can!
Generally though I feel positive. I feel like doing this journal in the morning as well as a few other things such as 10 min meditation, quick gratuities check, affirmations and visualization (3 only) have been helping me to start my day with focus and a plan. If I continue to just take this day by day, and week by week as Per the name of the site, I will be able to make some serious progress here.
Today general plan:
- yogurt and berries this am
- broccoli and apple salad with soup for lunch
- leftover fried rice quinoa plus tofu for dinner
- snacks of the maple rosemary nuts I made plus olives
Tomorrow is week one check in – and I hope to see a downward push π
