Day 12

I feel like I am gaining some momentum. I had a good day yesterday and made choices aligned to what I want to make on a regular basis.

I went to the beach for the afternoon and what normally would involve bringing a drink of some sort – I went ahead to Side Launch and bought non-alcoholic beer to bring as well as a new sparkling water drink Barbet. That was perfect for me – particularly as I did a long hike in the am and was still overall thirsty from that. That saved me unnecessary calories.

I have a lot to do today but will stick with my choices to eat healthy:

Breakfast: yogurt and quinoa cheese cakes

Lunch : leftover soup and salad

Dinner : Turkey zucchini leftovers

Exercise: a 5k hike with dog

I have an event this afternoon but can’t let that derail me from planning my meals for the week. This week I have 3 days at home and then 4 days in the Finger Lakes – I need to plan for all of that so that I am not ordering in/eating out. I think I have enough things in the fridge but I know I need to have the exact plan as when it comes time to eat, the easiest and most successful strategy for me is to have it ready and no additional thinking required.

Tonight is also a dry night with no negotiating for a glass of wine. I plan on the next 3 nights as dry as I know the weekend won’t necessarily be. I can do this. I make the choice for myself and I choose today to drink the last Barbet in my fridge as well as the n/a wine I bought. I will also drink sparking water today at the bday party.
