Ready to focus – again. Every day I need to just remind myself – choose good options today and this week you will lose a pound. As simple as that. And yet I look ahead and know I have two-three nights out this week of good food and drinks – I need to either choose to navigate that or choose to remain my chubby self.
Tomorrow is my official retirement date – laptop turns off and is returned, no more office, no more hours to keep. I need to really make a plan to decide what my mornings look like. I think the easiest thing for me to do now is to start running again so that I get certain exercise in during the morning time. I think to take advantage of the mornings I will start my day as follows:
- Wake up at 6:15-6:30. This is already better than the 5:15 I had been getting up to try to get things done before work
- Do morning routine of journalling, meditation, gratitude
- Have a coffee and watch a little of the Today show
- Take dog for a walk
- Either go to gym for Body Pump or start to run each morning
- Can finish routine around 11:00 am and then plan one thing to get done that day
- Meal plan and prep for that day and ahead as needed.
I also plan on hiking a lot in the fall so depending on weather can take the dog in the morning or afternoon
Time to get at it – one day at a time. I also think I need a 5:00 reminder session to prep me for the evening ahead – goals always seem so easy in the am and much harder in the pm – maybe I need a 10 min meditation session at 5:00 to get back on track. Either way – it’s time to start saying no to some food and drinks and choosing better alternatives
